About Us

ZIP, Gavi’s Humanitarian Partnership’s Programme, was Gavi’s first designated funding for humanitarian partners to immunise children in missed communities impacted by conflict and crisis. Contributing to Gavi’s 5.0 Strategy, ZIP grantees deliver all scheduled vaccine doses to children from birth to age five in communities where conflict impedes government health services.

Between January 2023 and July 2026, ZIP grantees delivered 42.5 million total vaccine doses and reached 3.9 million children with their first vaccine dose, including 1.8 million zero-dose children across 11 African countries.

Adapting immunisation delivery to uphold humanitarian principles, ZIP grantees have achieved vaccine coverage rates above national averages.

Since 2022, ZIP has implemented three major awards, REACH with IRC, VERHUS with CBCHS, and RAISE 4 Sahel with World Vision, expanding access to full immunisation in humanitarian settings across 11 African countries. To learn more, please visit our Where we work page.
